watchlists rework
Most watchlists rot. You add ten tickers in March, by July half of them aren’t relevant - the catalyst passed, the company merged, your thesis changed - and the names you actually care about (the ones with a PDUFA next month) are nowhere on the list because you haven’t gone hunting yet.
Smart watchlists on biostock.app fix that. You write the rule, not the list. The list is whatever matches the rule today.
A few presets that actually pay off:
PDUFAs in the next 30 days - every biotech with an FDA decision date inside the window. New PDUFAs appear automatically the moment the SEC filing hits.
Clinical trials in 90 days
XBI clone, low-risk only - the XBI constituents minus the ones with Nasdaq deficiency notices, recent ATM offerings, or pending reverse splits.
Oversold biotechs with cash runway > 12 months - RSI ≤ 30 and a balance sheet that buys you time.
You can mix any of these with a market cap range, golden-cross filter, etc. Saved query results in a live list.
The other half of this: open a smart watchlist and the catalyst column auto-filters to match the rule. A “PDUFAs in 30d” list shows you PDUFAs, not earnings noise. The filter is yours to override session-by-session, but the default tracks the list’s intent.
Try it: biostock.app/watchlists → “+ New” → pick a preset.
As always, iOS ships later this week (for Android I’m still waiting for the minimu number of volunteers to sign up for the beta testing)
If you find Biostock useful, paid subscriptions are an optional way to support ongoing development.
